An Easter Message from Fr Altier
An Easter Message from Fr Altier
Dear Benefactors,
As we come to the most holy time of the year, we are drawn to recognize the immense value of each person God has made in His image and likeness. We celebrate the great mystery of the Incarnation and birth of our Lord at Christmas, but as we approach Holy Week and Easter, we are reminded of the reason for the Incarnation. Jesus came into this world to suffer and die so we could be saved and be heirs with Him to eternal life. It is humbling to realize that we are so valuable in God’s eyes that He would freely do this for us. Many people struggle to see and accept their dignity; we need to learn to see things from God’s perspective. We live in a world that does not recognize the dignity of human persons, and many people have been treated in a way that violates their dignity. Consequently, it is easy to think they do not have dignity or that their dignity is less than others. We know this is false, and we at Help the Helpless are so grateful that you are able to recognize not only your own dignity but the dignity of the beautiful people we are so privileged to serve.
On behalf of the Board of Directors of Help the Helpless, I extend to you our most sincere gratitude for your continued generosity, especially in the face of economic struggles. Only in Heaven will you be able to know how much good you have done for so many people in true need. May God reward you abundantly for your kindness and charity! Praying for you and your family to receive the greatest graces of our Lord’s Passion and Resurrection.
God bless you,
Fr. Robert J. Altier
